Steve Jobs | “people don’t know what they want”
It is a joy to be able to start something that so many knowledgeable people contribute to and comment on. Thank you for your kind words. The real value comes from insightful opinions like yours, where collectively, the variety and diversity of views creates something that even more people like.
You make excellent points, so eloquently put.
I suppose we are all part creators, part curators. We build a repository of ideas in our minds. In a TED Talk video I posted on another thread, a brilliant man by the name of Sir Ken Robinson talks about how education needs to focus more on creativity. He asks the audience if they could imagine Shakespeare as a 7 year old boy. He said “even Shakespeare was in somebody’s English Class. How annoying would that be? Must try harder”. And that’s the thing—we’re all influenced by so many people and things throughout our lives.
There is so much information out there that it’s hard to even come up with an original thought anymore. Enter the rise of Content Curation—or more accurately, “Curation with commentary”.
