Offer a choice: a 50-question Multiple Choice Exam or the Case Study

This will make it easier for people with sub-par English skills to pass. By no means is a 50 question exam an easy way to pass, but the case study as it stands could demand more of people. Right now, it is too easy to contribute the bare minimum and pass, which is not what this course is about. In my view, this course is about driving excellence - and we can do that more broadly by offering the choice.
I personally don’t like multiple choice, but some people prefer it.
Providing the choice satisfies two different objectives:

  1. those who want to gain the knowledge, but don’t feel the need to put the knowledge into practice can take the exam.

  2. those more hands-on types (like me) who relish the opportunity to take on projects, can do the case study.

The choice also has the added benefit of automated assessment of all exam participants and will hopefully result in a higher median quality for the case study— but I believe everyone will gain more if the bar is raised for the case study requirements.
