Not for Professionals?
I would like to understand things from your perspective.
It seems to me that there are two ways we could interpret the term “for Professionals”:
- the nature of the content is of an advanced level of difficulty suitable for Professionals.
- the people the course is trying to appeal to are working Professionals already involved with content in some capacity.
If we consider the first interpretation, then it is easy to see how you have concluded the material might not be of an advanced-enough level, (although to be fair, would that not entail taking a more in-depth course of study at Masters or Doctorate level?).
However, if we look at the second interpretation, we could imagine that the purpose of the course is to bring together like-minded Professionals from the “Content Community” to share ideas and work through some course material designed specifically to enhance Audience Engagement. Many Professionals may be completely satisfied that those aims have been achieved.
The two words that are the most important for me are “Audience Engagement”. We have listened to experts in the field of audience engagement, we have engaged our fellow Professionals in the forums (with very high participation levels), and we have been challenged to complete a project which mimics a real-world scenario.
When you look at the course in those terms, do you feel any different about it?
Tell me what you think.
