Are Smartphones becoming our "go-to" devices for Content Consumption?

Basically you’re saying that according to your research, smartphone usage is not dependent on socioeconomic group, i.e., smartphone often substitutes for home computer/TV — wow, that is huge! In other words, many consider it good enough to consume what was traditionally big screen-only territory.
To speak to your comment about consuming different content on different devices - totally agree that is the reality today. What’s exciting is when we ask what device will be the “electronic brain” going forward? Imagine a Smartphone that is this “brain” and is our ID, our wallet, our “electronic life” and we just plug that in or connect to other display devices as suits our needs. So at home, we may connect to a display that is integrated into the wall. In cafes, we might connect to screens built into coffee tables or digital foldaway screens that we carry with us in our pockets ready to unfold and read like a newspaper. At work, we may connect to various screens within a shared “creative space’ in a way that helps us communicate ideas — perhaps holographic presentations will become the norm. Imagine not having an office or cubicle, but using different spaces designed to encourage creativity and collaboration. Most of our “stuff” will doubtless be in the cloud and we might render a 3D holographic design mockup, or discuss a project schedule, or give a 3D presentation into a space with coworkers huddled round. But when we consider what is unique to us, what carries our identity, our digital currency, I think it will be the handheld or wearable device. We’re some way off yet, but at the rate things are progressing, it might be here sooner than we think.
The opportunities for Content Strategy are beyond comprehensible. The scope is enormous.
Thank you so much Kelly for your kind words and incredibly valuable insights.
