Inditex and H&M | Fast fashion all "sewn up"?

Looks like the Spanish(#1) and the Swedes(#2) have fast fashion sewn up. Makes me wonder whether Mr Wang should consider partnering with Inditex instead of competing. He could leverage their marketing resources and multi-cultural know-how to launch in key markets where inditex already has a presence. It would be difficult to compete at Zara’s level — they only need two weeks for NPD — that’s why I’ve chosen a business angle, gaining inspiration from when I worked in Singapore and could get a custom suit for a fraction of the cost of a brand name. I think there may be an untapped space for providing the professional wardrobe of young aspiring businessmen who are on a fast-track to executive level but can’t afford executive prices at this time.
What an interesting and thoroughly enjoyable challenge this was.
