With the rise of imagery as a key attracter and engagement tool, one scenario that has appealed to me is to develop a Pinterest following and gradually transition to higher engagement via Tumblr (let’s call it short-form blogging) then out to your website.
There’s a kind of ‘evolutionary path’ for people to follow to your most valuable content that resides on your website. You don’t want to make it too obvious, so you have to manage the process carefully, building and nurturing relationships gradually as you go.
As simple as 1-2-3.
Pins are the bait, Tumblr is the net, and the bucket is your site. Bingo!

- Tumblr »> short-form articles.
- Your main site »> the meaty detail e.g. download as a whitepaper.
