My initial interpretation of John’s challenge was to ‘appeal to the senses’ — i.e., when we are fully immersed in our surroundings, we are truly living life — we are ‘in the moment’. We feel alive. But when we touch hearts, we reach people on a deeper, more meaningful level that builds bonds. Lasting relationships. Lasting commitment.
