Apple - as example of good content strategy
I would argue that what has driven Apple’s success is a steadfast commitment to, and a passion for, product superiority. They are masters of Product Marketing. They are historically product-centric, but shifting to customer-centricity. The same level of passion that has driven product superiority pervades all that they do — manufacturing, marcoms, packaging, delivery, service, et al.
Steve Jobs was something special. One of those rare charismatic evangelists. Sad loss for the world.
Some argue that Apple sells content to drive device sales whereas Amazon sell devices to drive content sales.
What do you think?…and can you identify a good example of content strategy that meets our course definition? I think iTunesU comes close…but if you believe Apple uses content to drive device sales, then does it count as Content Strategy?
