What's in a name? Content Marketing vs Inbound Marketing.
It makes much more sense to me that Content Marketing be called “Inbound Marketing" as coined by Hubspot. This way, it might make the relationship with Content Strategy a little less confusing.
I might be mistaken, but I think the term “Content Marketing” has developed a bad reputation since some firms use it as a replacement for ppc ads to generate traffic through “purchase funnels”.
Good content marketing as advised by advocate “Hubspot" should provide content so useful that a visitor to a site proactively wants to open a sales dialogue or at least investigate further.
This article highlights the quality problem with Content Marketing.
