Steve Jobs | “people don’t know what they want”
As Prof. Lavine points out in his post, although we do have instances of lone genius throughout history—and wouldn’t every company want a Jobs or Wozniak—the most likely scenario for finding the ‘big idea’ today is the team. As they say, there’s no ‘I’ in team.
So in addition to the lone inventor ‘hidden in a garage’ we have teams who ‘huddle in an office’.
