Steve Jobs | “people don’t know what they want”
To your point, the Jobs hero worship can seem excessive at times. What’s interesting is the level of passion he instilled in people. Amazing when you look back. In the late 1970’s if you owned an Apple product you were certifiably Geek. Not long after Jobs took the reins at Apple for a second time, he transformed Geek into Chic. And the rest is history as they say. No longer was a computer just for spotty teenagers, but it was now a lifestyle accessory for the well-heeled, upwardly mobile cool crowd.
That’s quite a transformation and something that should be applauded not only from a technology standpoint but also from a marketing and evangelism standpoint.
However, as we move forward, we might redefine our thinking on what constitutes genius. This video shows why.
