What better example than Coursera itself in providing relevant content?

Surely its not possible to improve on the video quality, the presentation and the content. But watch out, you have some competition! Close on your tail is the marvelous Marketing course offered by Coursera as part of the Signature Track with content provided by Wharton. They took it to the street…quite literally.
On week 1, Barbara filmed from within an actual supermarket to make her points come alive.
On week 2, Peter stood on the corner of a lively Downtown Philly cross street to provide perspective on some local businesses.
On week 3, David’s lectures featured him presenting from the factory floor of one of their example companies.
Adding the ‘immersive’ in-context feel to the videos enhanced the slides and helped bring even more life to the lectures. There are many presentation lessons we can learn from both Northwestern and Wharton to effectively engage a mass audience through this medium. Congratulations Northwestern and Coursera for what is clearly the current leader in MOOCs. May your reign continue.
